These notes for Geography and the Environment for Primary Schools, is written and prepared on the basis of the Geography and the Environment syllabus for Primary school Education Standards III issued by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology in 2023.
Some of the themes in these notes have been taken from the previous book for Social Studies standards III published in 2018 in accordance with the 2016 syllabus.
The notes consists of four (4) topics, namely The concepts of Geography and the Environment, Earth’s relief, Environmental conservation and Environmental degradation.
By learning the content of these notes, you will acquire knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary for environmental conservation and for appreciating the value of our natural resources.
The content of each topic is presented in the form of text, activities, diagrams, exercises and pictures to enable you to build the intended competencies.
Each topic has adequate exercises to test your understanding of the specific themes.
