Welcome to CAMS based within the heart of the Tanzanian capital. Established in 1950, CAMS has always sought to provide students with education of the highest quality. With a wide variety of interactive learning taking place as well as a thriving extra-curricular life, CAMS is a place that  strives towards developing responsible decision makers, critical thinkers, and intelligible speakers. 


CAMS follows the British National Curriculum from Key Stages 1-4 and is a registered iGCSE Ed-excel center.  CAMS also encourages a clean and healthy environment, by practicing an anti-littering movement within the school.


EARLY YEAR CENTER & PRIMARY SCHOOL LEVEL




The Early Years Center foundation curriculum is for children aged 


3-5 years. Early year’s center is divided into two parts which are –Nursery school (3-4 yrs old children) and Reception or pre-primary school (4-5 yrs old children). Center expects to have two classes per each year group with maximum 30 students in each class. For the time being we have two sessions thus are Morning and Afternoon classes for both nursery and reception. 


The morning session begins at 8:00am to 11:30am from Monday to Friday and the Afternoon session starts at 12:00am to 4:00pm from Monday to Friday. At the moment Early Years Center has no school Bus; the students use their private transport to and from school.




SECONDARY SCHOOL LEVEL


CAMS secondary school use British curriculum to prepare students to sit for the IGCSE international examinations under Pearson Edexcel as awarding board. Secondary students are for children aged 11-15 years from standard seven to form four. Lessons begin at 7:45am with the Devotions up to 2:30pm.More information’s about lessons arrangements please click on school timetable. 


A student in secondary school is learning eleven (11) subjects which are: Mathematics A, English Language A, Information Communication Technology, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Geography, Religious studies, Art and Swahili . Together with that we have subjects clubs that any interested student may join the club.


Once a student sits for the international exam; must choose and sit for the minimum of four subjects where Mathematics A and English Language A is compulsory. CAMS only register exams for the January and May/June sessions only

ADMISSION PROCEDURES


It is our pleasure that you choose CAMS as the next step in your child’s education. We appreciate that opting the right school is one of the most important decisions a parent can make and we value the confidence and trust that you place in our school.

Students receive an offer after successfully completing the school’s admission process.

A: To begin the application process, please complete the CAMS Application Form.

B: After completing the Application form, the form should be sent to the address provided.

C: To finalize the enquiry process, the admission fee is required along with the documents. To pay this fee, families may pay by bank via the details provided.

 Leaving / Transfer certificate

D: Once the admission form is opened. 

The parent/guardian will be contacted for the placement assessment, In conjunction with previous school reports, the placement assessment tools are designed to determine a student’s readiness for the CAMS programs including any Intensive English language training and/or special needs support for which no additional fees are charged.

E: After a student is assessed, the complete file is forwarded to the appropriate Admissions Committee for review before a final admissions decision is made by The Deputy Head of the Early Years or Deputy Head of the Primary or The Deputy Head of the Secondary Department will test all students applying for a places.

The process is completed as quickly as possible, however the time between
assessment and notification of the admissions decision varies depending on the
applicant’s level of education.

F: Once an admissions decision is made, possible outcomes include the student
being:

 • Accepted
 
• provisionally accepted (based on reports alone)
 
• conditionally accepted (with academic or social concerns to be
monitored)

 • Waitlisted (due to no seat)

 • Denied Admission (for academic or social concerns beyond the scope of
the program)
