The issue of the schools that parents and guardians send their children to can be very expensive, especially when parents decide to send their children to a private school.
In this article we have collected ten schools that charge the most expensive fees in Tanzania. This list does not consider fees alone but also various other contributions that parents and guardians have to contribute at various levels in these schools.
Shule Zenye Ada Kubwa Tanzania 2024/2025
1. International School of Tanganyika (IST)
This is the most expensive school in the country. It is located in Dar Es Salaam and follows the IB Curriculum. IST charges fees ranging from 34 million Tanzanian shillings for kindergarten to 71 million shillings for secondary school, per year.
2. Saint Constantine International School
It is located in Arusha region and follows the Cambridge Curriculum. The fee is between 8 million Tanzanian shillings for Kindergarten to 23 million Tanzanian shillings for secondary school.
3. Iringa International School (ISS)
It is located in the Iringa region and follows both the IB and Cambridge curricula. Fees range from 17 million Tanzanian Shillings for Kindergarten to 27 million Tanzanian Shillings for secondary school.
4. Dar Es Salaam International Academy (DIA)
It is the third most expensive school in the country. It is located in Dar Es Salaam and follows the IB Curriculum. Its annual fee is from 23 million Tanzanian shillings for primary school to 40 million shillings for secondary school.
5. Braeburn International School
This is an international school located in Dar Es Salaam and Arusha. It follows the IB system and its annual fee is from 20 million Tanzanian shillings for primary school to 43 million shillings for secondary school.
6. Morogoro International School (MIS)
This is available in Morogoro region and follows the Cambridge curriculum. MIS charges from 6.4 million Tanzanian shillings for kindergarten to 18 million Tanzanian shillings for secondary school. This is a separate fee, apart from registration and boarding fees for those who sleep at school.
7. International School Moshi (ISM)/ UWC East Africa
This is the most expensive school in Kilimanjaro region. They charge fees ranging from 16 million Tanzanian shillings for kindergarten to 41 million Tanzanian shillings for those in the fifth and sixth forms. This school follows the International Baccalaureate (IB) Curriculum.
8. Aga Khan Primary & Secondary School
This school is located in the city of Dar Es Salaam, and follows the IB Curriculum as is ISM. They charge fees ranging from 7 million to 20 million Tanzanian shillings.
9. Haven of Peace Academy (HOPAC)
HOPAC is located in the City of Dar Es Salaam. It follows the Cambridge Curriculum and charges between 16 to 22 million Tanzanian shillings per year.
10. Kennedys House Schools
Kennedys schools are located in many places around the world. In Tanzania, it is located in the Arusha region, running Kindergarten and Primary School.
Their fees range from 8 million Tanzanian Shillings for Kindergarten to 22 million for Primary School. This school follows the Cambridge Curriculum.
