HESLB Important Documents Required for Loan Application 2024/2025

The Higher Education Students’ Loans Board (HESLB) was established under the Act No. 9 of 2004 and became effective in July 2005. HESLB is mandated to, among others, issue loans and or grants to needy and eligible students.

The Higher Education Student Loans Board (HESLB) wishes to inform applicants for higher education loans for the academic year 2024/2025 that the Guideline for Issuance of Loans for the Academic Year 2024/2025’ with detailed information on the criteria and procedure of Applications is available at www.heslb.go.tz

Required Information For HESLB Online Application

vii. Death certificates (if applicable)

viii. Parents/Guardian's/ Guarantors name:

ix. Parents/Guardian's/ Guarantors Contact

x. Parents/Guardian's/ Guarantors occupation, employer address, telephone number, postal and physical addresses

xi. High school results

x. Higher/Tertiary Education Preferences,(Institution ,Programme (Specify Major field if relevant), Campus)

xi. Particulars of Loan Application

xii. Previous scholarship or loans scheme details

Currently, prospective loan applicants are advised to prepare by ensuring the following:

i. Have a bank account with the same name as on his CSEE certificate;

ii. Have a phone number registered in his names that he will use while in college;

iii. Checking birth certificate following the instructions of RITA (Tanzania Mainland) or ZCSRA (Zanzibar);

iv. Prepare a copy of his guarantor’s ID; it can be one of NIDA, Voter’s Card, Driver’s License, Travel Pass, or Zanzibari Resident ID;

v. Preparing pass-port size of the loan applicant and his guardians; and

v. Preparing the NIDA number. If the applicant does not currently have one, it will not prevent him from applying for a loan.
