What is Vodabima?
How do I purchase Vodabima, Maana ya Vodabima – VodaBima AfyaPass is designed to enable M-Pesa customers to get affordable health insurance cover. Premiums start at just Tsh 70,000 per year, to make it easier for M-Pesa customers to get medical treatment easily and at an affordable price.
Any M-Pesa customer who is between 18 and 65 years old. Customers who are over 65 will not be able to use VodaBima AfyaPass cover.
AfyaPass does not use physical medical insurance cards. Your healthcare provider will verify your information using your AfyaPass membership number and government issued ID such as NIDA, Voter’s Card, Driver’s License or a letter from local government.
Types of Voda Bima
There are two types
1. Basic cover
2. Premium cover
Basic cover which will pay for both outpatient and inpatient treatment.
Premium cover which will pay for outpatient and inpatient treatment just like basic cover but will also allow you to add services that are not covered under the basic plan. These services include: maternity, chronic and major diseases, radiology, surgery, vision, dental and physiotherapy.
How do I purchase Health Insurance?
Before you purchase health insurance you will need to register your details. You will have to enter your name, date of birth and gender. This information will be used to create your insurance cover.

Then select 1 Register Details.
